There is an Infantry wing of NCC for girl students.
1. To develop qualities and character, courage, discipline, comradeship, leadership, secular outlook spirit of adventure, sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizens.
2. To create a human resource of organised, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life including the Armed Forces and always available for the service of the nation.
ADMISSION TO N.C.C.:
Every student on his admission in the College may fill in the enrolment form available at the College N.C.C. office. The enrolment form duly filled in along with Reg. fund must reach the N.C.C. office before the scheduled date notified for it.
There is Youth Red Cross Unit in this College to work according to the objective of Red Cross. A core group of the Unit consisting of 10 students will be there under the guidance of the Professor in-Charge Red Cross Unit is to carry out Red Cross activities inside as well as outside the College campus.
Students interested to join the Core Group of Youth Red Cross should apply in plain paper citing name, class; Roll No. and previous Red Cross activities if any to the Prof. in-charge, Red Cross within a month after admission. He will select the core team for various activities.
The college has one unit of Youth Red Cross (Y.R.C.) with 50 volunteers. It functions under the Chairmanship of the Principal associated by two teachers known as Counsellors.
The N.S.S. units of the college function under the chairmanship of the Principal who is assisted by teachers in charge of N.S.S. to be called as Programme Officer. There are 4 units of N.S.S. in this college as Unit -1, Unit - 2 and Unit 4 for boys’ and Unit - 3 for girls’ having student enrollment strength of 50 each. N.S.S. is open to all students. Each student on the rolls of N.S.S. shall have to produce minimum 120 hour of work in an academic year. Students interested to join any one of the 4 units of N.S.S. shall apply in a prescribed form to the N.S.S. Programme Officer within a month after admission.
Rover means “SENIOR SCOUT”, Crew means “UNIT”. So Rover Crew means senior scout unit. Only Boys from +3 stream can join in Rover Crew. Boys joining in Rover Crew are named as Rovers. The main motto of Revering in the college level is “RENDERING SERVICE TO THE SOCIETY”. This is followed by Scout Laws & Promise. A Rover after joining in the crew will make promise as follows :- “On My Honour, I promise that, I will do my best, to do my duty to God and my country, to help the other people & to obey the Scout Law”.
The aim & objective of the society is to spread scientific knowledge and for this it shall strive to -
b) Arrange lectures/ discussions of a scientific nature.
c) Invite distinguished speakers to deliver lecturer on scientific topics.
d) To organise excursion to places of scientific interest.
e) Arrange annual Science Exhibition.
f) Organise the Annual Function of the Society.
g) Organise competitions among the science students.
